I work out of town throughout the week so any automotive service I have is done on the weekends.
I came to AutoNiche because they were one of the only mechanics in the area open on Saturdays.
I had a nasty grinding/clicking noise that I wasn't able to diagnose on my own so I sent them a message through their website late Thursday night. By Friday morning, they already confirmed an appointment for me at my preferred time slot. However, check your spam inbox if you book online! My gmail unfortunately tagged their email address as spam.
When I dropped off the vehicle on Saturday, they explained that they would charge their shop hours to diagnose the single problem that I had. Instead, they offered to do a complete "Digital Inspection" (i'm having trouble remembering how many points were inspected). I ended up getting more value by going this route.
The shop sent me a link with the digital report to review. This report is pretty spectacular. They take pictures or videos of every problem area that they identified so that I can actually see the problem. I'm not sure if this is common among other shops now but it's the first time I've seen it.
Shortly after, they called me to discuss each item in detail. They never forced or tried to sell me on the items that I declined (i.e. fluid services, lamp replacements, exhaust leak, etc.)
For the repairs that I wanted to proceed with, they provided ALL costs associated with this repair so that there are no hidden/surprise charges for when I pick up my vehicle.
By the end of it all, I picked up my vehicle around ~4:30PM. I believe they close at 4PM but they didn't rush or feel the need to remind me. I'n comparison, I've had other shops threaten to lock up my car until their next business day.
They also followed up via phone later in the week to see if my problem remained resolved. Unfortunately, I was unable to answer the phone but hopefully this review will be sufficient!
Quick and concise communication.
They accommodated my schedule.
No sneaky up/hard sell tactics.
Knowledgeable responses (No BS).
Resolved the problem that i brought the vehicle in for.
