Owner & Automotive Service Technician

Emily is a proud mom of two teenage boys, she just can’t seem to keep her fridge stocked up nowadays! She owns and operates AutoNiche, a family-friendly auto repair shop in Markham. She is a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician, and Automotive Writer with various publications. She also teaches in the Automotive Business School of Canada at Georgian College. Emily holds a degree from the University of Waterloo in Psychology and Business, and her previous jobs include Psychometrist and Human Resources Associate.

She has appeared on various media including Breakfast Television, Cityline, and the Marilyn Denis Show. She is passionate about her work; together with her staff, AutoNiche’s purpose is to bring better communication and client service to the auto repair experience.

Foreman has spent most of his career in client service – he enjoys working with people! Outside of work, he spends time with his young kids and watches the Toronto Raptors whenever he can.

Daniel has a total of over 10 years of experience in the automotive service sector, including 6 years of in-shop experience! He likes playing tabletop games such as Warhammer 40,000 as well as Dungeons & Dragons, and he also enjoys playing guitar.

Andrew Spurr


Licensed Automotive Service Technician

Andrew brings over 15 years experience as a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician,
and also worked in vehicle manufacturing. Previously, Andrew worked in the TV production
and live event industries after attaining a degree from Toronto Metropolitan University.

Outside of work he plays and repairs guitars, BBQ’s over charcoal, and goes hiking and
canoeing. He has two teenage children as well.

Automotive Service Technician Apprentice

Rayon decided to get into the trade because he didn’t want to be taken advantage of when it came to fixing his vehicles. He developed his skills with Ford for a few years before joining AutoNiche. He enjoys spending time with his family, rollerblading, and playing basketball. Rayon is also a skilled artist and loves Marvel comics – we wonder what he’d be up to in the multi-verse!

Automotive Service Technician Apprentice

Mamoun joins our team as an automotive service technician apprentice. He loves working with his hands, and has an avid interest in cars. Mamoun likes to play volleyball and fun fact – he can carry on a conversation in Japanese for at least 2 minutes LOL! He doesn’t follow much professional sports, though he does cheer for the FC Bayern Munich!

Noah Miura


Automotive Service Technician Apprentice

As an apprentice automotive service technician, Noah joins our crew. He has interest for automobiles and loves figuring problems out. Noah likes to go on long drives while listening to his favourite tunes. One day he will find his way exploring all across Canada in his dream car. He hopes to see the northern lights and a sky full of stars on this journey.

Katie joined the AutoNiche team as our Administrator in 2014. She holds a Masters degree in Intercultural Studies (we’re sure she’s secretly doing cultural research on our diverse staff! LOL). She loves to travel with her family and spent many years in Qatar prior to living in Canada. She is our resident American, and likes us so much that she’s recently become Canadian too!
