AutoNiche Women’s Auto Repair Service opened its doors in March 2009.

Emily Chung

Emily is a proud mom of two teenage boys. When she’s not spending time with them, she’s busy managing AutoNiche. Emily is a licensed Automotive Service Technician (310S), Certified Child Car Seat Technician and has appeared on various media including Breakfast Television, Cityline, and the Marilyn Denis Show. She is a former Hankook Tire Ontario Brand Ambassador. Emily is passionate about her work; together with her staff, AutoNiche’s purpose is to bring better communication and client service to the auto repair experience.

While on maternity leave with her second child, she pursued the Auto Service Technician pre-apprenticeship program at Centennial College. She placed second in her class and received the Trillium Automobile Dealers Association apprentice scholarship. Emily was awarded this scholarship in Level 3, this time achieving the highest GPA for that level.  All this while maintaining her marriage, raising a toddler and nursing an infant—thank goodness she’s wired to multi-task! She also holds a degree from the University of Waterloo in Psychology and Business, and her previous jobs include Psychometrist and Human Resources Associate.

Emily is the Motoring Editor with Canadian Reviewer, and is a guest journalist with Car Care Business Magazine. She is also a passionate speaker, with workshops and presentations about working in the trades, entrepreneurship, and effective communication. Past clients range from students to executives, and include Startup York, Durham District School Board, Dufferin-Peel Catholic Disctrict School Board, Simcoe County Disctrict School Board, and the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA). Emily currently teaches in the Automotive Business School of Canada at Georgian College.

The goal of AutoNiche is to empower and educate women and men, and to show them that the experience of taking a car in for servicing can be a positive one. Our staff brings over 25 years of technical experience and over 15 years of automotive parts experience. For anyone who has had an unpleasant car care service experience, we invite you to try the AutoNiche difference.
